can't wait to come back when in alton, we did not want to leave there. great hotel with beautiful garden. liked central heating, an iron and a clothes-hanging unit in the room. in addition, free wifi was provided.

Location and lovely breakfast. The hotel is right by Catholic Youth Retreat Centre.
